Qualitative Research Video Streaming and Recording

Live-stream focus groups, interviews, and research sessions from any L&E facility, with HD recording, secure hosting, and multi-camera views built in.

L&E Research operates a proprietary audio/video streaming system across all research facilities, purpose-built for qualitative research observation. The system supports live streaming of focus groups, in-depth interviews, usability sessions, and mock trials, with HD recording captured and stored on L&E’s secure Client Portal for on-demand access after sessions end.

The platform was designed to replace fragmented workflows where clients juggle separate tools for streaming, recording, hosting, and sharing. With L&E’s system, everything runs through a single infrastructure: no third-party logins, no external file-sharing links, and no gaps between what happens in the room and what the remote team sees.

What the system delivers.

Camera icon

HD audio and video capture in every session room.

L&E’s A/V system uses digital microphones for precise audio capture and HD cameras across all facilities. Camera configurations are matched to the research: bird’s-eye views for product interaction and shelf testing, tabletop speaker views for focus group dynamics, wide-angle positioning for full-room behavioral observation, and over-the-shoulder angles for usability sessions. Your L&E facility team configures the setup based on your study’s methodology and observation priorities.

Multi-camera views for remote observers.

Remote stakeholders can watch sessions through customizable multi-view layouts powered by Pearl hardware. Observers choose their preferred camera angle, switch between views during a live session, or watch a composite layout that captures the full room. The system also supports integration of external media feeds and Zoom for hybrid research designs.

Secure recording hosted on the Client Portal.

All session recordings are captured and stored directly on L&E’s Client Portal, eliminating the need for third-party hosting or file-transfer services. Recordings are accessible only through authenticated client logins (no shared links, no public URLs). Team members and stakeholders can access, review, and download recordings from a single secure location.

Connected Node network

Built for UX and behavioral research.

Beyond standard session capture, the system supports screen recording for product interaction sessions, multi-perspective simultaneous recording for behavioral analysis, and media piping capabilities that allow external content (prototypes, stimuli, digital products) to be displayed within the session environment and captured as part of the recording. These capabilities make the system suitable for usability testing, human factors research, and product evaluation studies where observing participant interaction with physical or digital objects is central to the research design.

Circle Checkmark

One integrated system, no workarounds.

L&E’s A/V infrastructure handles streaming, recording, hosting, and access control within a single platform. Clients don’t need to coordinate between a streaming tool, a recording service, a file-hosting provider, and a permission system. Everything is managed by L&E’s facility teams, who configure room setups, troubleshoot in real time, and ensure the technology stays invisible so the research stays in focus.
